Monsters Need Extra Frames to Get Past Dodos
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Monongahela Monsters and the Hialeah Dodos, pitcher Martin Elzey was the difference between victory and defeat. The Monongahela right-hander earned accolades in the 3-0 Monsters win. Monongahela raised its record to 26-26 with the win.
The Dodos had trouble solving Elzey, who surrendered no runs on 5 hits over 8 innings.
"This win should put a little bounce in our step," said Elzey.
