Redlegs Fall Short, 3-2, at Alaskan
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Alaskan Humpbacks and Sacramento Redlegs.

The Alaskan Humpbacks did just enough to secure a victory over the Sacramento Redlegs, 3-2, at Sea World. Nobody did more than pitcher Gene Scott. The win makes Alaskan 27-22.

In the bottom of the sixth, Alaskan third baseman John Simpson put his team on top. With one out and a runner on 2nd, he hit his 5th home run of the year. Sacramento pitcher Bill Richardson served it up. Just like that, the Humpbacks were ahead, 3-2.

Simpson called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
