In a low-scoring contest, Alaskan pitcher Eric Mason was marvelous in his team's 2-1 win. In 5.2 innings, Mason surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Jorge Souza picked up the save for Alaskan, his 4th of the year.

The Humpbacks got a big at-bat from center fielder Dave Alexander. For the game, Alexander was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Alaskan a 2-0 lead.
