The Hamilton Thunderbirds picked up a win at Pride Park, knocking off the Hartford Pride, 4-1. On the mound for Hamilton was left-hander Edgar Morales, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Thunderbirds are now 50-43, while the Pride fall to 43-50.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Greg Erwin? The Hamilton center fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Thunderbirds on top, 3-0. For the game, Erwin had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Erwin told the Hamilton Daily News.
