Hialeah third baseman Woody Maxwell had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Baton Rouge Brass, 8-7. Hialeah reliever Cooper Carroll was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Vicente López took the loss. At 14-12, the Dodos find themselves in 4th place in the Premier AAA.

Had Elliot Banks not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 1st, Banks hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 8-7, in favor of the Dodos.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Hialeah manager Billy Strauss.
