Nobles Suffer 3-1 Setback
|
In a low-scoring clash between Sacramento and Bakersfield, pitcher Roberto Sánchez was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned accolades in the 3-1 win. Sánchez picked up the win for Sacramento, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. The loss makes Bakersfield 12-14.
The Redlegs grabbed the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out, Flobert Immerrechts hit a solo home run off Luis Gutiérrez, putting Sacramento in front, 3-1. For Immerrechts, it was his 5th home run of the season.
"Every loss hurts," said Bakersfield manager Jesús Román. "But this was a tough one."
