Late Magic Gets Monongahela 5-2 Win
|
The Monongahela Monsters defeated the Kansas Rainbeaus, 5-2, in USPL Triple A action at Wichita Field. Monongahela pitcher Bhu Pahayahay had a standout performance. Luis Boll earned the save for Monongahela, his 4th of the year. The Monsters move to 11-15 with the win, while the Rainbeaus drop to 15-11.
Monongahela used the timely hitting of Freddie Cupp to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Monsters on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"I really like what we did out there today," Pahayahay said after the game.
