Sioux Falls Red Pandas starter Salvador Heredia turned in a sterling performance against the Hamilton Thunderbirds, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Sioux Falls now sits at 42-38, while Hamilton falls to 44-36.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and two out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when third baseman Ken Francis hit a 2-run single. The Red Pandas went on to win.
"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Francis.
