Sioux Falls and Pawnee duked it out and the Red Pandas came out victorious.
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas got a magnificent performance from pitcher Alan Jackson, who muffled the Pawnee offense en route to a tight 3-0 Red Pandas win at The Bamboo Forest. Earning his 16th save for Sioux Falls was Júlio Martínez.
The ParksNRec had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Red Pandas going into the bottom of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old third baseman Ken Francis came to the plate. Francis hit a 2-run home run on a 0-2 fastball from Pawnee hurler Ignacio Rodríguez. It was Francis's 8th home run of the year.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Edward Whipp.
The Red Pandas improved to 41-37.
