The Sioux Falls Red Pandas defeated the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 8-5, at Port Huron Park today. Leading the charge for Sioux Falls was second baseman Luis Santos. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The winning pitcher was Salvador Heredia. He tossed 91 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 8 hits. Júlio Martínez closed the door for Sioux Falls, picking up his 15th save of the year.

Sioux Falls used the bat of Tadayoshi Harada to capture the win. The first baseman jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Red Pandas ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
