Getting an impressive start from Gregory Gilbert, Hamilton beat Florida by the score of 7-2. Gilbert got the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 5.1 innings. Gilbert allowed 2 runs. George Forrest was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
Lorenzo Morales dealt the Men a blow in the top of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Hamilton leading 2-1, Morales, who is tied for 4th in the 3AAA in triples with 3, hit a 3-1 fastball for a 2-run single.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Gilbert.
Hamilton is 36-32 and Florida, with the loss, 31-37.
