Hialeah Dismisses Syracuse, 5-3
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Hialeah Dodos and Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys.

The Hialeah Dodos defeated the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys, 5-3, in USPL Triple A action at The Zoo in Syracuse. Hialeah pitcher Eric Colquhoun had a standout performance. Gunner Cross earned save number 2 this season.

Hialeah relied on the bat of Elliot Banks to get the win. The left fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Dodos ahead, 3-1. For the game, Banks had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Colquhoun.

The win leaves Hialeah with a record of 9-8.
