Baton Rouge picked up a win at Brass Field, toppling the Sacramento Redlegs, 9-2. Pitcher Bill Lawrence was one of the reasons the Brass triumphed. Paul Rhodes recorded the save for Baton Rouge, his 1st of the season. Sacramento falls to 7-9.

The Redlegs had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Brass going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 30-year old center fielder Jai-guo Tian came to the plate. Tian hit a 2-run double on a 1-0 splitter from Sacramento hurler Gunnar Quinn. It was Tian's 1st double of the year.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Tian. "And not try to do too much."
