The Syracuse Starks picked up a win at Sacramento Sanitation Station, knocking off the Sacramento Redlegs, 5-4. On the mound for Syracuse was left-hander Jake Mitchell, who played a pivotal role in the win. Mitchell got the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Mitchell allowed 1 run. Isaac Patterson finished to wrap up his 2nd save.

The Starks benefited from a costly error in the top of the sixth. With Byron Ballard at bat and Syracuse leading 4-1, the Sacramento miscue allowed Syracuse to plate 1 and take the lead, 5-1.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Ballard.

The Starks, with only their 3rd win in 15 games, have not had much to write home about in 2051.
