Hartford rode a good effort from starter Lando de Ruijter to beat the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds at Pride Park. The final score was 4-1. Jeremy Bearimy was credited with the save for Hartford, his 8th of the season. The Pride sit in last place in the Menard's AAA with a record of 18-30.
Scott Hines tagged a home run off Josh Gentry in the bottom of the third. His solo blast put the Pride on top, 1-0. In all, Hines had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"Lando -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Pride manager Howard Dale. "He was the key to us winning."
