The Plymouth Rocks extended their winning streak.
Plymouth starter Cisco Hernández pitched effectively against the Sioux Falls Red Pandas at The Bamboo Forest. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-2. The winning pitcher was Hernández, now 4-2. He tossed 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 8.
Javier Caballero had a big hit for Plymouth in the top of the fourth inning. With Plymouth leading 1-0, Caballero hit a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Rocks up, 3-0.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Caballero said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
The Rocks, now 28-19, have won 6 in a row.
