Great Stroke: Lee Gets 5 Hits
|
Disaster center fielder Elwood Lee had his way with Port Huron pitching today at Ballpark of Port Royal and mauled them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Blitzkrieg ruined his great day by toppling the Disaster, 4-2.
"I had a great day, but you've got to give Port Huron credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits."
"Oh, we noticed what Lee did today," Blitzkrieg skipper Jack Alexander said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him."
Elwood Lee singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
So far this season, Lee has recorded a .272 batting average with 43 hits, no home runs, 12 RBIs, 15 runs scored and a .333 OBP.
