Tu Throws 5-Hitter En Route to 3-2 Hot Chickens Win
|
The Nashville Hot Chickens got a stellar performance from pitcher Chin-yau Tu, who handcuffed the Hartford offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Hot Chickens Park. With the win, Nashville upped its record to 23-22.
Tu, who is tied for 10th in the 3AAA with a 9.5 K/9 rate, pitched a complete game for Nashville. Tu surrendered 5 hits over 9 innings and struck out 14. With the win, he moves to 7-2 on the season.
In comments to the Nashville Observer, Tu admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
