Hot Chickens Cut Down Men, 4-2
|
The Nashville Hot Chickens topped the Florida Men, 4-2, in M3L Triple A action at Hot Chickens Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Nashville pitcher Jake Owens. The 6th-place Hot Chickens now have a win-loss record of 21-20.
Rupert Bethune hit a 2-run home run off Ikaia Duncalf in the bottom of the first, which put the Hot Chickens ahead, 2-0. In addition to the homer, Bethune had 1 single and 1 double, while going 3 for 4.
After the game, Nashville manager Willie Mitchell applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
