The Hamilton Thunderbirds took Plymouth pitcher Natalino Gasco's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. The final score had Hamilton getting past the Rocks, 4-3. Gasco went 5.2 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 7. The 'W' lifts Hamilton's record to 20-13.

In the bottom of the 8th, center fielder Ed Reese gave Hamilton the lead when he hit a 2-run home run. The Thunderbirds had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out home run off Plymouth pitcher Marvin McCall changed that -- and Hamilton went on to win.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Plymouth manager Harris Harden. "The effort was great."
