The Athletic Club KC Reserves topped the Sacramento Redlegs, 5-3, in USPL Triple A action at KC Reserve Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Athletic Club KC pitcher Josh Campbell. The winner in relief was Horace Smith. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. Earning his 1st save of the year was Rostislav Kwasnicki.

Had Justin Cooper not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Cooper hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Reserves.
