The Monongahela Monsters beat the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys, 3-1. Monongahela pitcher and Springfield, Illinois, native Renault Daddi led the way. Kirby Perkins was called on to finish, recording his 3rd save. The victory makes Monongahela 4-6.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Piedade Regueir? The Monongahela shortstop had a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Monsters on top, 2-1. For the game, Regueir had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
