Dirty Reds Bump Off Kingfishers, 11-3
The San Mateo Dirty Reds handed the Pittsburgh Kingfishers a sound defeat, 11-3, at Lang Park. Kawenaula Alohalani was a main contributor to the win. He went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for San Mateo. Eugene Phillips picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 2-2. With the win, San Mateo goes to 16-15, while the Kingfishers fall to 9-22.

With San Mateo leading 8-1 in the bottom of the second, Alohalani came up to bat against Pittsburgh pitcher Eugene Kelly. Alohalani hit a fastball to left for a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Dirty Reds on top, 11-1.
