Rocks Take Down Blitzkrieg, 5-1

The exploits of third baseman Ricardo Vásquez, who is tied for 3rd in the 3AAA in home runs with 7, helped the Plymouth Rocks defeat the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 5-1. Vásquez went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Plymouth reliever Jon Turner picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Gustavo Rivera was tagged with the loss. With the win, Plymouth has a record of 16-13. Port Huron falls to 20-9.
In the top of the first, Drew Rose ambushed a 1-0 fastball from Gustavo Rivera and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Plymouth a quick 2-0 lead.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Vásquez told the Plymouth Chronicle.
