The Kansas Rainbeaus did just enough to secure a victory over the Sacramento Redlegs, 4-3, at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Nobody did more than pitcher Aurelio Reyes. Kansas reliever Alberto Ramos got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Félix Hernández was tagged with the loss. Kansas goes to 6-1.

The Rainbeaus beat the Redlegs with some clutch hitting. The single by Jacob Hall in the top of the 15th is a good example. With two down, Hall gave his team the lead, 4-3, when he came through with the big hit.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Kansas manager Jim Thornton.
