ParksNRec Hang 7-1 Loss on Red Pandas
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Pawnee ParksNRec and Sioux Falls Red Pandas.
The Pawnee ParksNRec downed the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 7-1, at Whips Ballpark. Bob Olson led the way, going 4-for-5 for Pawnee. Pawnee starter Tom Thornton was credited with the win after throwing 102 pitches over 5.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-1.
With Pawnee leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Olson hit a 2-run single off Sioux Falls hurler Young-kwang Chong. It was the 15th hit of the season for Olson and put his team ahead, 3-0.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Sioux Falls manager Leslie Brooks.
The defeat makes Sioux Falls 10-6.
