Pride Walk It Off for 5th Win of Season
|
Hartford beat Nashville at Pride Park, eking out a 2-1 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Jacob Cox. He threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Hartford reliever Jeremy Bearimy picked up the win, upping his record to 1-3. Alejandro Colón was saddled with the loss. Hartford is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 5th in 15 games.
Li-ren Ku was the walk-off hero for Hartford. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pride pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"This place was jumping at the end," Cox said.
