Baton Rouge Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The Baton Rouge Brass wiggled past the Bakersfield Nobles, 2-1, at Brass Field. The win was highlighted by the performance of Baton Rouge pitcher Herb Willis. The loss drops the Nobles to 3-1.
The Brass relied on second baseman Glen Keetley for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 19th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring double to seal the deal.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Brass manager Daniel Edwards, "I like our chances."
