Behind a solid performance from left fielder Tony Marino, the Sacramento Redlegs defeated the Monongahela Monsters, 9-2. Marino was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Redlegs. With the win, Sacramento lifts its record to 3-1.

Sacramento used the timely hitting of Graeme Wilshaw to capture the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Redlegs on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.

"We played hard and won," said Marino. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
