Disaster Slip Past Calgary, 3-2

Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Port Royal Disaster and Calgary Lynx.
Despite a great performance by Calgary third baseman Víctor Pagueros, the Port Royal Disaster defeated the Lynx by the score of 3-2 at Ballpark of Port Royal. Pagueros belted 2 home runs. Port Royal pitcher Rubén López got the win. He's now 2-0. Frank Baldwin was tagged with the loss.
Had George Samuels not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Samuels hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Disaster.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Samuels.
Port Royal has a record of 5-1.
