The Plymouth Rocks picked up a win at Plymouth Quarry, knocking off the Port Royal Disaster, 4-1. Starting pitcher Bob Crawford was a big reason why. Crawford picked up the win for Plymouth, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Ramón Echevarría was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

The Rocks got a big hit from first baseman Nebosja Peric. In the bottom of the fifth, Peric pounded a 2-run triple to right-center. His 2nd triple of the season put the Rocks ahead, 4-1.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Peric told a Plymouth Chronicle reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
