Disaster Win at Plymouth, 5-1
|
The Port Royal Disaster topped the Plymouth Rocks, 5-1, in M3L Triple A action at Plymouth Quarry. The game was highlighted by the performance of Port Royal pitcher José Pérez. In 5.2 innings, Pérez surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. Plymouth falls to 0-2.
In the top of the second, with Port Royal leading 1-0, catcher Edgardo Becerra hit a 2-run single. The hit came off Cisco Hernández and put the Disaster ahead, 3-0.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Becerra said.
