Thunder Bay picked up a win at Pacesetter Park, toppling the Toledo Stingers, 3-1. Pitcher Chris Jackson was one of the reasons the Northern Lions BC triumphed. Jackson picked up the win for Thunder Bay, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. The save was credited to Mike Allen, his 4th.
Thunder Bay used the timely hitting of Dusty Crum to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Northern Lions BC on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
Crum attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
