The Toledo Stingers had no problem beating the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 11-2, at Pacesetter Park. Roberto Gómez led the way. He went 3 for 4 with 3 doubles and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for Toledo. Toledo is 5th in the Third League with a record of 18-13.

Kalino Iolana was a prime contributor to the Toledo win. He went 2-4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. In the bottom of the third with two out, the 28-year old second baseman hit a 2-run single. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Stingers.

Thunder Bay manager Scott Williams called the blowout loss "a real dud."
