Biggs Helps Toledo Cruise to 10-2 Win
|
The Toledo Stingers defeated the Buckhead Bowties, 10-2, in Menard's Third League action at 5 Paces Park. Alfred Howard Biggs pulled his weight. The 9-year veteran went 4 for 5 with 3 triples. He drove in 6 runs and scored once. Alfonso Caballero got the win, improving to 1-1. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 11 and walking 2. Toledo goes to 12-8.
Brenden Aaronson drew 1 walk, while scoring 2 times for Toledo. In the top of the fourth, with the teams deadlocked, 2-2, Aaronson delivered for the Stingers. His run-scoring ground out put Toledo on top, 3-2.
