Charleston pitcher Paul Haines did his part in helping his team beat the Buckhead Bowties, 5-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Haines picked up the win for Charleston, going 5.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 0 hits. He now sports a record of 1-2.

Lang Ouyang put Charleston in front, 2-0, when he took Luis Rodríguez downtown. His solo home run came with two out in the bottom of the third. It was his 5th home run of the season.
