Proximo Plays Big Role in Kingston Township Win
|
In a low-scoring game between Kingston Township and Buckhead, pitcher Santiago Proximo was excellent. The Kingston Township right-hander helped his team knock off the Bowties, 3-0. The win takes Kingston Township to 5-6.
Proximo, a native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, was dealing all game. He kept Buckhead hitters off-balance, while giving the Knights 7.1 quality innings. Proximo threw 101 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 5.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Kingston Township manager Rayzor Ray said.
