Knights Suffer 6-1 Setback
|
Todd Wallace was superb against Kingston Township. The right-hander, who is rated as the 73rd best prospect by BNN, had a slider that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Grey Wolves victory. The score was 6-1. Wallace, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 9, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. The loss drops Kingston Township to 1-4.
The Grey Wolves got a big at-bat from right fielder Jeirgif Shkurin, who in the top of the third hit a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Grey Wolves on top, 5-1.
"Todd made his pitches," said Vancouver manager David Krause.
