Late Magic Gets Thunder Bay 4-3 Win
Buckhead got a valiant performance from pitcher Aarre Rissanen, but it wasn't enough to beat the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC. Thunder Bay won the game, 4-3. Rissanen threw 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Thunder Bay has a mark of 1-2 after the win.

Thunder Bay used the timely hitting of William Penn to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Northern Lions BC on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Penn told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
