Pandas Spoil Opening Day for Lighthouse, Their Fans

The 2051 season did not get off to quite the start the Long Island Lighthouse had hoped, with an opening day loss to the Montana Pandas at The Lighthouse. The final score was 7-3. Left Fielder Gaballah Murunga was the top performer for Montana. Rodney Johnson, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3 innings.
Dhataki Pummy, the 25-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Pummy contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Montana up, 4-3.
"We did a lot of things right," said Pummy.
