Cattlemen Handed 2-1 Loss by Echo Park
|
The Echo Park Lakers got a stellar performance from pitcher Javier Rúbio, who handcuffed the Ft. Worth offense en route to a win, 2-1, at LA Forum. Rúbio got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 2 hits and walked 2 over 5.1 innings. Rúbio allowed 1 run. Danny Kas was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 22 of 28 save opportunities.
Ger Jobse aided the Echo Park cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the second. For the game, the shortstop did the little things right to help the team.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Rúbio said.
