Leviathan Nip Lakers, 4-3
|
The Nova Scotia Leviathan faced a tough opponent in Echo Park pitcher Hang-ki Cong, but did just enough to pull out the victory at LA Forum by a final score of 4-3. Cong went 5 innings and allowed no runs. The Leviathan raised their record to 42-62.
Nova Scotia used the clutch hitting of Gareth Kvernoey to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Leviathan the lead, 4-3. For the game, Kvernoey had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Kvernoey.
