Sunday, September 18th , 2050
He may have less experience than most of his M3L Mexican Summer League peers, but that didn't slow Mitchell Hogg down at all in 2050.
At the age of 18, the MSL Panama City second baseman has been named the winner of the M3L Mexican Summer League Most Valuable Player Award.
He had a .362 batting average and a .410 on-base percentage this year. In 48 games he piled up 68 hits, 8 doubles, 2 triples, 16 home runs, 42 RBIs and 29 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Kent Miller of the MSL Buckhead Bowties finished second in voting, while Vicente Aguilar of the MSL D.C. Divided finished third.
