July's Premier Pitcher Announced by 3MSL Monday, August 1st , 2050 The MSL Buckhead Bowties felt very secure when they sent Jorge Torres out to the hill last month. The 18-year-old starter went after M3L Mexican Summer League hitters with a vengeance and earned July's Pitcher of the Month award. He went 3-0 with a 0.96 ERA as he struck out 29 in 28 innings over 4 starts. So far this season, Torres has logged a 5-4 record with a 3.84 ERA. He has started 12 games, hurled 75 innings and registered 75 strikeouts and 22 walks. |
