Best Pitcher Trophy Won by Bullets Punahele Saturday, September 17th , 2050 Benedito Punahele walked away with the top pitching honors in the USSL Mexican Summer League this year. The MSL Baltimore Bullets starter was named the Pitcher of the Year Award winner for 2050 earlier today. This outstanding 18-year-old hurler fashioned a fine 1-2 won-lost record in 16 starts. He threw 77.1 innings, giving up 56 hits and 31 walks and holding opponents to a .197 average. Punahele struck out 104 and posted a 1.75 ERA. He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 10. Lloyd Best of the MSL Boston Patriots finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Louis Bainbridge of the MSL Baltimore Bullets finished third.
