Ortíz Laces 3 HR Against MSL Baltimore Saturday, September 3rd , 2050 Fans are still buzzing after MSL Seattle whipped the MSL Baltimore Bullets by the score of 9-5 today at MSL Seattle Ballpark. Juan Ortíz smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the left fielder bashed out 3 hits in 5 at-bats, had 6 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Ortíz said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Ortíz said. "Three is just... wow." Juan Ortíz hit a solo-shot off Jaime Montoya in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Donatello Capano in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Jean-Marie Tardy in the 8th. Currently Ortíz is hitting .232 and has collected 8 home runs, 21 RBIs and scored 23 times, while playing in 48 games. |
