Palmer Sensational, 5-for-5
Friday, September 2nd , 2050
Brian Palmer was at the head of a MSL Boston hit parade today at MSL Boston Ballpark. The shortstop went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Patriots to a 14-0 victory over the MSL Ft. Worth Cattlemen.
"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Palmer told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."
Cattlemen skipper Mike Simpson said later that the club gave up "too much plate."
"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."
Brian Palmer singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Guillermo Flores in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
This year Palmer has hit at a .398 clip with 29 RBIs, 12 home runs and 59 runs scored.
