SMSL Announces Player of the Week Monday, August 15th , 2050 Pitchers who faced the MSL Echo Park Lakers last week were happy to see Luis MartÃnez in the rear-view mirror. The 17-year-old shortstop was dubbed the USSL Mexican Summer League Player of the Week for a 2-game tear that saw him hit at a .667 clip. For the week he also chalked up 6 hits in 9 at-bats, no home runs, 3 RBIs and 4 runs scored. So far this year, MartÃnez is batting .267 with 8 home runs and 24 RBIs. |
