Billy Goats End Azad's Streak Wednesday, September 1st , 2049 The MSL Long Island Lighthouse lost to the MSL Colorado Billy Goats 8-7 today at MSL Colorado Ballpark, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Namik Azad's 22-game hitting streak. The center fielder went 0-for-5 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Azad, we would win the game," Billy Goats manager Mike Norman explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." On the year Azad is hitting .475 with 48 hits, 2 home runs, 18 RBIs, .567 OBP and has scored 38 runs. |
