Lakers Stop Andrews at 28
Monday, August 8th , 2050
The MSL Echo Park Lakers pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Jack Andrews hitless in 4 at-bats during the club's 10-3 victory over the MSL Ft. Worth Cattlemen at MSL Echo Park Ballpark. The disappointing performance ended a 28-game hitting streak for the shortstop.
"I'm a little down right now," Andrews said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too."
Andrews is swinging at a .396 pace on the year with 5 home runs, 23 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has played in 38 games.
